Yes, that’s right: This Sunday, December 20, Santa will be making his annual tour of Verona on a fire truck. The elves are being very tight-lipped about his intended route through town, but we have a plan to make sure everybody gets to see the big guy go by.
We’re going to enlist you–and a bit of technology. No, not the NORAD Santa Tracker. That’s too broad-brush a picture of the route. At MyVeronaNJ.com we’re all about local, remember?
On Sunday, we’re going put up a story entitled “Where’s Santa?” It will have a map in it, like the one below, with flags at his starting point, which we’re guessing will be one or the other of our town firehouses. When you see or hear Santa in your neighborhood, use the comment field on the story to give us his location, and we’ll update the map. You can also use our Facebook or Twitter pages to give us a Santa siting.
And don’t even think about posting a false Santa siting. We’re betting there’s still a good supply of coal lumps somewhere in town.[mappress]
