42-16242384Plan a trip out to the Montville area at the end of this month: The Fruited Plain Caterers is throwing “Chili For Charity”, an event to benefit the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.

Stop in the store from March 20 to April 1 and buy a quart of chili and 100% of the proceeds will go toward feeding the hungry. The Fruited Plain, which is owned by Verona residents Rosemary and Drew Gabbe, will kick the event off with a chili tasting open house on Saturday, March 20 from noon to 4 p.m. You can sample four different kinds: Texas Beef Chili, Southwestern Turkey Chili, Red Lentil Chili and a Vegetarian Black Bean Chili.

The Fruited Plain is located at 48 Stiles Lane in Pine Brook, just 15 minutes away from Verona. Get driving directions by clicking on the map below.[mappress]
