Verona resident Kevin Ohlweiler is directing the musical “Rent” at Montclair’s Studio Playhouse in June.
The cast includes Jason Hurtado (Roger), Rafi Bromberg (Mark), Adrian Davenport (Tom Collins), Gerson Checo (Benny), Bria Hydrick (Joanne), Tyler McGeough (Angel), Dagmar Marshall-Michelson (Mimi), Eden Bellieu (Maureen). Rounding out the ensemble is Susan Hagen, Rostafa, Krystall Danielle, Thomas Carey Gsell, Michael Schulz, Brendan Garentt, and Lisa Kosak. The music directors are Darren Gage and Hawkins Davis Gardow, and Nicole Boscarino is the show’s choreographer. The stage management team includes Regina Novicky as production stage Manager, and James Russo and Lucia LoPresti assistant stage managers. The set and lighting design is by Steve Moger.
“Rent” runs June 7, 8, 13, 14 and 15 at 8 p.m. and June 9 and 16 at 3 p.m. Tickets are available online.
