This summer, unlock a world of adventure with the Verona Public Library’s 2024 Summer Reading Program, “Adventure Begins at Your Library.” The Summer Reading Program begins on Saturday, June 15, and ends on Saturday, August 10. Visit the library to sign up, read, and win prizes.

The Summer Reading Program is easy; kids and teens set their own reading goal for our 8-week program and earn prizes when they make progress each week. It is your choice how many books you want to read and how you want to work reading into your summer routine.

Adults can register for the Summer Reading Program too. Participants earn one raffle ticket for each book, audiobook, e-book or e-audiobook borrowed. There will be a drawing each week for a gift card to a local business. Keep reading for more chances to win the Grand Prize, a brand new Amazon Kindle.

In addition to prizes, we have programs designed for adventurers of all ages. Verona Public Library has planned a variety of fun and free in-person activities throughout the summer. Check our online calendar at www.veronalibrary.org for a full list of activities. Highlights include:

  • Meet Me at the Clock: The History of American Department Stores – July 8 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Lil’ Al’ Dinosaur with the Pearl Observatory – July 11 at 6 p.m.
  • Barkha Cardoz: Culinary Demo & Tasting – July 16 at 6 p.m.

  • Author Vandana R. Singh, The Bhagavad Gita: A Life-changing Conversation – July 23 at 6:30 p.m.
