Jo-Ann (McCumsey) Jacobsen, formerly of Verona, became an angel on June 27, 2024. She was 71 years old.
She is survived by her husband, Roger; son, Timothy of West Milford, New Jersey; daughter-in-law, Meghan; and two grandsons, whom she utterly adored, Ryder and Jax. She is also survived by her two sisters, Donna McMahon and Gail Maffetone; as well as numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Don and Barbara McCumsey.
A 1971 graduate of Verona High School, she spent the last 25 years in Florida as a property manager for Resorts International. Sitting at a tikki bar on the beach in Naples, Florida, was her idea of a perfect retirement.
Visiting will be held at the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona, on Saturday, July 6 from 2 to 5 p.m. A service will be held at the funeral home at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to any cancer fund would be appreciated.
