With the prospect of 90-degree days for the rest of this week, Verona has designated two spaces as places that anyone can go to to cool off.
The Verona Public Library and the Verona Community Center will be open as cooling stations from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
If you have life support equipment at home that could stop functioning if we have a power outage, you should consider registering your house with the Verona Police Records Bureau. They will put your address into the dispatch system so that you can get help to keep your equipment working. The Police Records Bureau is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, and you can call them at 973-857-4817.
