And then Verona baseball came alive, pounding out not only the six runs the team needed to tie the game, but one more for the win.

Charlie Pepe had two doubles in the push to tie, and there were hits from Liam Frey, Chris Baker, Logan Colon, and Andrew Paul. The game-winner came from Joe Farmer.

Verona is the No. 6 seed this year. The team travels to No. 3 Hoboken on Thursday for the quarterfinals.
