The annual Spotlight Players One-Act Festival will take place in the Verona High School auditorium on Friday, May 5 at 7 p.m. The cost is $5 per person and is payable at the door.
This year’s festival features six plays all of which are student directed. Half of the plays are also student written. They are “The Journey” by Caitlyn Heimerle and Paige Cooney, “The Perfect Proposal” by Josie Shust and “After You Maximilien” by Sophia Nunez. Rounding out the night are “But I’m French” directed by Katie Repoli and Kara Dunphy, “Blind Date” directed by Olivia Egan and “Sleepover at Sikowitz’s” which is directed by Julia Nogales and has been adapted by her from an episode of Victorious.
The show will last approximately two hours. Refreshments will be available for purchase, as well as the opportunity to sign up for the Spotlight Player’s annual Flamingo Flocking Fundraiser, which will run from May 30 to June 13. (Further information on this year’s flocking can be found here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1yWb-JhEgB4Ld-842MEdxDFsePN3Ih2I-YaS_m4wlWtE/edit).
