Verona High School sophomore Molly Hayter loves painting–and Taylor Swift. Since January, she has been an assistant at Wine & Design, a sip-and-paint business run by another Verona resident, Rachel Moehl. Hayter has been promoted to teacher and her very first class will focus on a painting she created of Taylor Swift.
“She is everyone’s favorite assistant,” says Moehl of Hayter, “punctual, friendly and calm…and one of our other artists (a student at MSU) rushed at the opportunity to assist Molly in her first outing as an instructor. Molly is a huge Taylor Swift fan so she will teach a Swift-inspired painting and lead us in 13 trivia questions. Prizes will be Molly-made friendship bracelets.”
Another thing to note is that while most Wine & Design classes are for people of legal drinking age, this class will also accommodate ages 10 and up.
“Red Lipped” will be held on Friday, May 5, at 6 p.m. at Wine & Design, which is located at 1 Greenwood Ave., Suite 101 in Montclair. You can register for the class here.
