Library Lecture: After The Revolutionary War

The Verona Public Library will present the lecture “After the Revolutionary War…Let Our Country Begin!” on Wednesday, January 11 at 7 p.m. on Zoom.

Historian Joel Farkas will present a fascinating and lighthearted look at our country’s origins. We know about the Revolution, but what happened next? Tune in to find out!

This lecture will cover the early years of the United States from 1783 through the War of 1812. Learn about the creation of the Constitution, the first presidents, the famous duel, The War of 1812 … and a whole lot more.

Farkas has lectured extensively on the American Revolution, including insights on George Washington, the Founding Fathers, the war in New Jersey, the lesser known heroes of the Revolution, and the role and impact of women during the war. He is a lecturer at the Lifelong Learning Institute at Fairleigh Dickinson University and a volunteer docent at Washington’s headquarters in Morristown.
