The Verona Public Library will host an online presentation, “The Pilgrims & the Mayflower – from Sea to Shining Sea,” on Wednesday, November 16, at 7 p.m.

Historian Joel Farkas will weave the tale of why and how the Pilgrims set sail on the Mayflower. Beginning with the Ancient Greeks through a history of explorers, he will connect the voyage of the Mayflower to the wives of Henry VIII and beyond. This presentation will be a voyage to remember!

Mr. Farkas has lectured extensively on the American Revolution, including insights on George Washington, the Founding Fathers, the war in New Jersey, the lesser known heroes of the Revolution, and the role and impact of women during the war. He is a lecturer at the Lifelong Learning Institute at Fairleigh Dickinson University and a volunteer docent at the Washington’s Headquarters Museum in Morristown.

This program will be presented live on Zoom. Please visit the Library’s website to register to receive the link to join.
