If your plans for Monday night didn’t include a volleyball game at Verona High School, you’ll need to change them: VHS volleyball is headed to the N2G1 Sectional finals after blowing away Hasbrouck Heights in the semis.
That game almost wasn’t a contest. Verona, the #1 seed, dispatched Hasbrouck Heights, the #5 seed, 25-9, 25-13, with a dominant presence at the net and on the service line. Verona’s seniors contributed heavily to the winning play. (There are eight of them this year: Sydney Aiello, Sam Davis, Mackenzie Garmont, Nicole Hagaman, Jackie Lawless, Patricia Rakova, Nandi Webb, and Fernanda Webster.)
And now it’s on to a place that Verona volleyball has been in many times over the years, the Sectional finals. On Monday, November 7, at 6 p.m., Verona will host Rutherford High School, the #2 seed.Â
Admission to the game is $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors, and you must buy your tickets online, in advance, through the NJSIAA’s website. And VHS’s Athletic Director wants you to know that you will not be able to bring cans, bottles, containers and backpacks into the gym. Â
If you can’t attend the game in person, you will be able to live-stream here.

Wow! Kathleen Milano Seubert! I went to junior high and high school with your mom. She was a fantastic athlete, and it looks like you take after her! Way to go with volleyball! Great pictures of you!
