On Wednesday, October 19, the students and staff at Forest Avenue School wore pink to highlight the fight against breast cancer and in support of The Minette Grosso McKenna Angel Foundation.

A total of $365 was raised by Forest Avenue School families and staff, and a check was presented to MAF representatives (pictured L-R, Clare Wright, SCA Co-President; Judy Prestifilippo, MAF board member; Wesley Tahsir, Forest Avenue School Charitable Coordinator; Patty Bishop, MAF board member; Jeff Monacelli, Forest Avenue School principal).

Minette’s Angels was founded in 2004, a year after McKenna, a Verona native, passed away from breast cancer. Her courage, strength and determination during her 10-year battle inspired many and was the inspiration for the foundation. The foundation works to carry on her legacy as it provides assistance to those in treatment, supports research, and promotes breast health awareness.
