On Wednesday, October 26, at 7 p.m., the Verona Public Library invites you to spend an evening with one of Marie Antoinette’s best friends (portrayed in full costume by Alisa Dupuy) who has a special reason for sharing Washington Irving’s timeless story, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.”
This dramatic reading of the classic tale of the Headless Horseman will give the context of the year 1792, which includes the French Revolution as well as the connections between America, France and England. You will be surprised about the historical background concerning the trifecta of America, England and France and the ties that bind them together.
Alisa Dupuy is the founder of “The Ladies of History.” Her goal is to make history fun, exciting and memorable in addition to highlighting the contributions that women have made to history.
An R.S.V.P. is requested but not required. Please visit the Library’s website to sign up: https://www.veronalibrary.org/events/the-legend-of-sleepy-hollow/
