The Morris V. Prout Lecture Series and the Verona Clergy Association are presenting a reflection on the Rule of St. Benedict entitled “Finding Balance, Happiness and Peace in Everyday Life” on on Saturday, September 24, at 2 p.m. St. Benedict composed his Rule in 516 (AD) and many people today apply his principles to create a calmer, less frazzled way of life.
The Rev. Dr. Jane Tomaine and the Rev. Albert Holtz OSB, both noted authors and scholars of the Rule will lead this ecumenical roundtable discussion about how we can all apply this ancient wisdom that transcends religion to help meet modern challenges with grace and joy. Rev. Tomaine is an Episcopal priest of the Newark Diocese and Rev. Holtz is a Benedictine monk and prior of the Newark Abbey.
