Pamela V. Aloia (nee Vreeland), 79, died peacefully on Tuesday, May 10, at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston.

Visiting will be held in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Ave, Verona, on Sunday, May 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Lakeside Avenue, Verona, on Monday, May 16 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

Born in Glen Ridge, Pamela grew up in Little Falls and lived in Great Notch before moving to Verona 59 years ago.

She graduated from Passaic Valley High School and attended the Katharine Gibbs School.

Pamela worked as an administrative assistant, most recently for the Atlantic Health System in Morristown.

She was predeceased by her parents, Edwin and Marion (nee McKenzie) Vreeland; her sister, Patricia Boyle; and her daughter, Susan Aloia Niler.

Pamela is survived by her loving children, Michael Aloia, Debra Aloia Holzer (Robert) and Daniel Aloia (Corin); son-in-law, Howard Niler; and cherished grandchildren, Ashley Niler McMahon (Sean), Jessica and Joseph Niler, Stephanie and Ryan Aloia, Matthew and Eric Holzer and Gavin and Codey Aloia; and great-granddaughter, Stella McMahon.

In her memory, donations to the Verona Rescue Squad, 12 Church Street, Verona, NJ 07044, would be greatly appreciated.
