The Verona Clergy Council will hold a Municipal Day Of Prayer on Sunday, May 15, at 5 p.m. on the steps of Town Hall. The Verona Clergy Council consists of Calvary Lutheran, First Presbyterian, Holy Spirit Episcopal Church, the Islamic Center of Verona, Our Lady of the Lake and B’nai Shalom, the West Orange synagogue that welcomed members of the former Congregation Beth Ahm when that Verona synagogue closed in 2017.
The Council says that the gathering will include speakers, prayers, and music about how each community celebrates joy within its traditions. It hopes that the community will participate as these houses of worship continue to pray for peace.
