Lineup Set For Mental Wellness Festival

Verona and Cedar Grove have released the schedule of events for the joint mental health wellness festival that the towns will be holding in Verona on Saturday, May 14 from noon to 3 p.m.

The mental health festival, which will be held on the lawn in front of Verona’s town hall and inside the Verona Public Library, will kick off with opening remarks by Dr. Frank Mauriello, the director of special services and district mental health coordinator for Verona Public Schools, followed by Scott Chesney, a nationally recognized motivational speaker. At 1 p.m. and again at 2 p.m., there will be live music performances sponsored by Cedar Beans, the Cedar Grove coffee shop. The Cedar Grove Artists Alliance will hold a demo at 2:15 p.m.

There will be several opportunities for movement and exercise, beginning with Verona Yoga at 1:30 p.m., New Jersey Tai Chi at 2:30 p.m., both outside on the lawn. In the library, there will be teen yoga at 1 p.m. and a Qigong class at 2 p.m.

There will also be food vendors, kids activities, a bouncy house, face painting and a large number of vendors and organizations with resources for health and mental wellness, including AKT Fitness, Alpha Fit Club, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, The Catalyst Cradle, Cedar Bean’s Coffee Joint, Cedar Grove Artists Alliance, CEM Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, Cooked with Chris, Crunch Fitness Verona, FunTime Entertainment, Hardbodyz Fitness, Health With Heather, Indigo Yoga, JAE Candles, Jennifer Prezant LMT, Mamaste Calm, Kindness Rocks Project, M&M Designs, NAMI Essex/Passaic Chapter, Nothing Hidden Artisan Soaps, Psychological and Educational Consulting LLC, Radio Free Montclair, Rolling Yatai Food Truck, The Towne Scoop, Uncle Sal’s Egg Rolls, Usborne Books & More, Vanguard Medical Group, and Verona Yoga.
