Car Crashes Into First Care Building

A Pompton Avenue crash just after 7 a.m. this morning has left a car embedded into the First Care Medical Group building at 50 Pompton Avenue.

Verona first responders on the scene said the car was traveling north on Pompton towards Cedar Grove when the driver apparently lost control. The driver was able to exit the car and was transported to a hospital for evaluation.

First Care Medical Group does not open until 8 a.m. but there were two employees in the building already at the time of the accident. According to Dr. George Ambrosio, a Verona resident who is the owner of First Care Medical, the employees were not injured in the crash.
