The Verona Police Department is sharing a video of the aftermath of a crash on Mt. Prospect Avenue nine days ago.

According to the VPD, at about 10 p.m. on April 14, its officers responded to the crash. The police say the driver lost control of the vehicle after traveling at a high rate of speed. The report does not say whether the car was headed north or south on the road, but the car came to rest on western side by the Montclair Golf Club fence. Mt. Prospect is a frequent location of crashes in Verona as cars speed into and out of town; there have several fatalities on it over the years.

The Verona Rescue Squad was called in to evaluate both driver and passenger, but the police say that neither was injured. The VPD issued several summonses to the driver.
