Save The Date: UNICO 50th Anniversary Dinner

After a two-year delay, The Verona chapter of UNICO National will celebrate its 50th anniversary on Friday, May 20, at the Richfield Regency in Verona. As part of the celebration, the Verona chapter will be honoring the memory of its long-time member, John Alati, and a long-time Verona UNICO supporter, Pat Filoso (above). It will also be recognizing the 25th anniversary of Women in UNICO National by honoring three members who were installed that year (1997); Linda-Gail Alati, Nicki Carpinelli and Nancy Magrans.

Proceeds from the dinner will be used to fund the newly formed John Alati Memorial Fund. The cost of the dinner is $110 per person. This includes a sit-down dinner, full open bar, passed hors d’oeuvres and live entertainment.

UNICO National is the largest Italian-American service organization in the United States. The Verona Chapter of UNICO has, over the years, donated $500,000 to local and national organizations help people in need and provide scholarships to local high school students. Verona UNICO has been a sponsor of Verona’s summer concert series and Fair in the Square. It fundraises for these efforts through its Labor Day 5K race and Sunday ‘Gravy’ Dinner.
