Sara Rosenstein graduated Verona High School with the class of 2003. She is now fighting cancer and her sister Tedi has set up a GoFundMe so that she can stop working and focus on treatment. Friends hope that Rosenstein’s diagnosis will also bring attention to the fact that March is colorectal cancer awareness month.
Rosenstein was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer in 2018 when she was just 32. According to her sister, she underwent many rounds of chemo, colostomies and other treatments. When her scans finally showed that she was cancer-free, Rosenstein got married and went on with life. But her cancer returned last year and she has now had to have an ileostomy and a hip replacement.
The GoFundMe seeks to raise $50,000 and you can learn about it here.
