With the winter chill upon us outside, you might be looking for ways to make your house less chilly inside without breaking the bank.
The Township of Verona, along with four other founding members of the Sustainable Essex Alliance, is letting residents know that there is a pilot program to provide free, virtual home energy consultations to help residents save money and energy. Whether you need to seal leaky drafts, add insulation, upgrade heating and cooling equipment or even install a solar energy system, a specialist will work with you to identify solutions that make sense for you. There is no cost to get started and no obligation to undertake any of the recommended measures.
Because this is a pilot program, the number of participants is limited by town. Verona authorities say they hope the pilot program will ultimately lead to a full-scale residential energy efficiency outreach and energy-planning program for participating communities, including other towns in Essex County.
