Sandra Leigh Boyle of Jersey City, N.J. formerly of Verona, passed away on December 28, 2021. Visitation and prayer service was held on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Shook’s Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove. Cremation at Rosedale Cemetery was private. Inurnment will take place at a date to be announced. Memories and condolences may be shared at shookscedargrove.com.

Sandra was born in Montclair to Ronald and Beverly (nee Murphy) DeCheser. She lived in Verona and most recently Jersey City. Sandra had a varied professional career including professional modeling. She held many professional positions in the field of IT including work as an application engineer and senior systems officer, where she was instrumental as part of the Y2K crossover team for world tracking. She also held the position of vice president of IT Global Systems international and oversaw Fortune 500 equipment. She cherished the time spent with her family at the Jersey shore. Sandra was also instrumental in the extreme success of the Victoria Secrets clothing line, her time volunteering in her community and supporting local art scene – she could also kick ass on drums.

Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Michael N. Boyle; precious daughter Nicole Groat and her daughter, Olivia; devoted parents Beverly DeCheser and Ronald and Judith DeCheser; caring siblings Marlene DeCheser and Michael F. DeCheser (Julie); mother and father-in-law Eileen Boyle and the late Art Boyle; brothers and sisters-in-law Neil, Stephen (Rebecca), Chris (Katie), and Gregory (Kim); treasured nieces and nephews Steven and Marcus McMickle, Oliver and Dylan DeCheser, Natalie and Kara Boyle, Katherine and Declan Boyle, and Arta Boyle; countless, loving cousins and friends who will miss her dearly; and Sandra’s adoring dog “sweetner” Baci.
