Mrs. Franca Tanelli, 82, died on December 31, 2021 in Montclair.
Entombment in Hollywood Memorial Park, 1500 Stuyvesant Avenue, Union, N.J. will be on Thursday, January 6 at 10 a.m. Please meet at the cemetery office at 9:55 a.m. Face masks and social distancing are required.
Born and raised in Macchia Valforte Campobasso, Italy, Mrs. Tanelli emigrated to the United States in 1963 and lived in Newark and Bloomfield before moving to Verona in 1972.
She worked in Annin Flag in Verona for 30 years, retiring as Head Manager in 2007.
Mrs. Tanelli was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Church.
She was predeceased by her parents, Pasquale and Rosaria (nee Callandra) DiIorio; her husband, Dr. Orazio Tanelli, PhD; her son, Nicola Tanelli; and her brother, Gino DiIorio.
Mrs. Tanelli is survived by her loving son, Pasquale Tanelli and his wife, MaryAnn; cherished grandchildren, Nicole, Dominic, Salvatore, Matthew and Isabella Tanelli; her daughter-in-law, Beth Tanelli and brother, Giovanni DiIorio. Condolences may be left at www.proutfuneralhome.com.
