December At Holy Spirit

The small church with a big heart on Gould Street has much going on — as we know you do also. Perhaps some of our events though will help you slow down and/or connect to this holiday season.

Saturday, December 4, 6 p.m. – Christmas Jazz Concert featuring our Cantor Ema Mitrović. Tickets are $25 per person and include a small wine and cheese reception afterwards.

Sunday, December 12 at 10 a.m. – Our Children’s Christmas Pageant will be pre-recorded once again this year and will be debuted during our main worship service; we will also celebrate an interactive Children’s Eucharist with the Sunday School students helping Father Jerry. This is also the deadline to drop off unwrapped toys for children ages 8 to 13 being collected for St. Peter’s Haven in Clifton.

Wednesday, December 15, 1 p.m. – Prayer Shawl Ministry gathers to continue their holy work and fellowship. The group meets on the second floor of the building and new members are invited and welcome to join.

Saturday, December 18, 9 to 11 a.m. – Our Food Pantry is open for drive-thru grocery pickup. Important note: Our regular distribution day is the fourth Saturday; however due to Christmas Day being on that day, this month our distribution day is a week earlier… on the third Saturday.

Friday, December 24, 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. – Two services will be offered for Christmas Eve, both in-person and also available online. The 4 p.m. is Eucharist with an engaging Children’s Sermon. The 10 p.m. worship is Eucharist with festive Christmas hymns. All are welcome — no matter what!

We at Holy Spirit Verona wish you a blessed Advent preparation and a most holy, happy and healthy Christmas.
