The Verona fifth grade Junior Girl Scouts will again be hosting a holiday toy drive for children in need in our area.

They are asking that new, unwrapped toys be dropped off in their donation box at the Learning Express toy store in Verona (643 Bloomfield Ave). The community can advantage of Learning Express’s Black Friday and Small Business Saturday deals, shop local and help kids all at the same time.

The Girl Scouts will be collecting toys until Friday, December 10.

Last year the group collected over 200 toys and clothing items for children in foster care in Newark and Paterson, and children receiving services from Oasis – A Haven for Women & Children, Ronald McDonald House, Jersey Battered Women’s Services, and others. There is an even greater need for children of all ages this year due to COVID-19.
