Marching Band To Compete At West Orange

This Saturday, October 9, the Verona High School Marching Maroon and White will be competing in Class AAA at the annual West Orange High School Marching Band Invitational at 8:45 8:30p.m.

The marching band has taken second place at its last two competitions and is hoping to improve on its performance this weekend. The Marching Maroon and White’s 2021 show is entitled “Atlas” and includes pieces by Gustav Mahler. In addition to second place at its first competition at Roxbury High School on September 25, the band won the award for Class AAA Best Visual Effect.

The West Orange High School Marching Band Invitational Class AAA and AAAA portion of the competition will begin at 7:30 p.m. with Verona’s performance time set for 8:45 8:30 p.m. A loud and enthusiastic local Verona crowd is welcome to cheer on the Marching Maroon & White at their third competitive performance of “Atlas.”

UPDATE: Verona’s start time will now be 8:30 p.m.
