Kevin Ohlweiler, a 2010 graduate of Verona High School, is directing a cabaret next month filled with the uplifting songs that we could all use right now.
The “Welcome Home Benefit Cabaret” will take place at Studio Players in Montclair on Friday and Saturday, September 17 and 18 at 8 p.m. Studio Players is located at 14 Alvin Place, next to the ACME supermarket on Valley Road.
“This is such an important show for the community because after a year and a half without live theatre we can all use a night out at the theatre to lift our spirits,” says Ohlweiler. “This diverse group of performers is going to bring joy into the hearts of ever audience member and remind everyone that no matter how dark times get the arts will always be there to lift people up.”
Tickets for the show are $20 and you can buy tickets online here. Masks covering nose and mouth are required for all in the audience regardless of vaccination status.
Studio Players has been providing community theater for adults and children in Montclair since 1937, and many Verona residents have been on stage and behind the scenes for those shows. All Studio Players auditions are open to the public.
