There can be too much of a good thing: The Friends of the Verona Public Library announced this morning that, due to an overwhelming response to its request for donations for its used book sales, it now has more than it can store, so it is pausing donations as of Saturday, August 7.

The Friends will continue to make used books for sale on the shelves near the front door of the library. Prices range from $1 for children’s books and adult paperback to $2 for adult hardcovers, and all sales are cash only.

The Friends of the Verona Public Library is a non-profit that has supported programs at the library and other library needs for more than 30 years. Annual memberships range from $15 to $100, and members get a jumpstart on shopping at the Friends big multi-day book sale in December.
