To the Editor:

Jack McEvoy has proven to be a dedicated servant to our entire community.  During his time on the Town Council, he has shown compassion towards all public perspective, a commitment to transparency and has made informed and reasonable decisions. His kindness and warmth make him easy to speak with as he makes himself readily available to our residents.

Prior to his election to office, Jack invested years of his time, not only attending Town Council meetings, but attending Planning Board and Board of Adjustment meetings.  This devotion is a true testament that Jack cares about Verona, its future, and our residents.

As a lifelong resident, he has the benefit of understanding Verona’s past to inform him on how we should move forward.  His own investments in our community are testament that he has great faith in our town and that he’s here for the long haul.

Jack strives to revitalize our downtown, to keep us sustainable and green, to conserve open space and to protect our homes from flooding conditions.

He analyzes our budgets to make sure our residents get the most for our tax dollars because he is a taxpayer like all of us. Jack will continue to support our community, businesses, and residents now and in the future. Importantly, he listens to our residents and he listens to his heart. He understands that overdevelopment is NOT what we want for our future as he exhibited a “NO” vote on the Spectrum 360 property.

We have known and followed Jack for many years and have the utmost respect for him and his opinion on what Verona needs for the future.  We wholeheartedly support his re-election and hope you will as well on May 11th.
