Girls Lacrosse Off To Strong Start

Ella Moore leads the team in scoring

Rebounding from 2020 without a season due to COVID, the Verona High School girls lacrosse team is off to a strong 4-1 start with a 14-1 home win yesterday against Indian Hills.

Junior Ella Moore is leading the team in scoring with 19 goals and 5 assists, followed by sophomore Bridget Lonsinger with 12 goals and 22 assists.

The team is dedicating this season to beloved Verona youth lacrosse coach, Julie Nippes #27, who passed away last fall and had coached many of the girls over the years.

The next home games at Verona High School will be tomorrow, Thursday May 6, against Ramsey at 4:15 p.m. and Friday, May 7, against Wayne Hills at 4 p.m.
