To the Editor:
As an elementary school parent, I am writing in support of Jason Hyndman in the upcoming Town Council election. We became part of the Verona community seven years ago, drawn here by the welcoming neighborhoods and excellent public schools. We have loved living here and want to elect a candidate that will respect the small town charm and strong sense of community, while pursuing ways to keep Verona’s downtown vibrant and representative of the diverse needs of both current residents and the growing population of families that have fallen in love with our town.
Jason brings both a fresh personal and professional perspective to the table on key issues facing our town, especially in the realm of real estate development, revitalizing the downtown area, and working with residents to keep our roads safe and our wooded areas maintained. To address some of these key issues, we need to understand what other towns have done, as well as the outcomes, so we can make informed decisions. Jason has made a difference in his work both in and outside of Verona. As another Verona voter put it in their letter to the editor, Verona has the chance to have highly qualified experts on our Council for free!
Jason Hyndman would be an excellent and highly motivated addition to the Verona Town Council, and my husband and I will be voting for him on May 11th.
