Alpha Fit’s front door opens onto the main municipal parking lot.

There were ribbon-cuttings for two businesses in Verona’s downtown this weekend. Alpha Fit Club, a group fitness facility that also has a location in Westfield, opened in the back half of the former Terry’s Drugs. Close by, but facing Bloomfield Avenue, Fusion Eatery opened in the former ChiQueen space.  Fusion’s menu has a wide range of sushi rolls and bowls.

Mayor Jack McEvoy presided over the welcoming ceremonies, which were also attended by Town Council members Ted Giblin, Christine McGrath and Kevin Ryan, as well as Steve Neale, Verona’s director of economic development.
