The Verona Chapter of UNICO National will once again offer its annual scholarship program, awarding money to high school seniors who plan to attend college in the fall. Students must be Verona residents and have a completed application (including letter of recommendation, school transcript and appropriate essay) submitted by Wednesday, May 12. Verona High School seniors should submit the completed application to Lisa Torchia in the Counseling Department. Seniors from any other high school (who are Verona residents) should submit their paperwork directly to [email protected].
This year, five students will each potentially receive $1,000. The scholarships available in 2021 are:
- Alati Family Scholarship
- Msgr. Capozzelli Scholarship
- Nicholas J. Martini Scholarship
- Labor Day 5-K Classic Scholarship
- Brian Piccolo Athletic Scholarship

This year’s scholarship committee members include Pam Blake, Elena Cappello, Nicki Carpinelli, Mickey Lawrence and Father Jerry Racioppi.
