If you’re thinking of getting more outside exercise, Bob Merkler, Verona’s director of athletics, would like to remind the community that there are times when the track behind H.B. Whitehorne Middle School is off-limits to the public.
The track is closed to outside use when the Verona High School Track & Field team is using the track for practice, as well as during track meets. You can check the schedule for the track team on the VHS athletic website here.
One other thing to help protect the very expensive surface of the track: Do not use bikes, skates or strollers on it.
