As we look forward to the spring and warmer days ahead, the Verona Municipal Alliance Committee (VMAC) reminds you that “Dinner Makes a Difference!”

Let’s keep the fun and conversation alive during Family Fun Week, taking place the week of March 8-12. This special week is designed to be full of fun activities at home and in the community. For updated information and to download activity sheets, visit www.vmacnj.org.

Conversation Starters: Check out our Spring Activity sheet for conversation starters to
encourage family communication while having fun.

Wear It Wednesday: Adults and kids, show your Verona pride by wearing your best maroon & white
or Verona shirt! Post a picture of your family on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Don’t forget to tag @vmacnj!

Thursday (the ever-popular homework and activity-free night!)
Dinner Makes A Difference now more than ever. Check our website for an updated list of special events and discounts.

Color Yourself Lucky: download the coloring sheet from HBW Peer Leaders and show us how lucky you are to live in the town we all love.

As always, VMAC encourages you to support our community businesses that always support us! Dine in (where permitted) or take out dinner from Verona restaurants, or stop in at a store or other business; maybe
one you have never visited before!

Verona Family Night started in 2003 as a “Scheduled Night to be Free of Schedules.” With the support of the Board of Education, Town Council, Recreation Department and OLL, VMAC normally schedules two family nights during the school year, the purpose of which are to provide Verona families a cleared schedule to enjoy quality time with each other. Most recently it has evolved to a week of family activities, but remains a simple reminder of the importance of family time. Family mealtime is an effective tool in fostering family unity and helping children and adolescents remain substance free.

The mission of VMAC is to work toward community wellness through the celebration and cultivation of the compassion, character, and confidence that individuals, especially our youth, need to make good choices in all aspects of their lives. We look forwarding to celebrating Family Week with you!
