Mrs. Catherine A. Dahl (nee Testa), 80, died peacefully on March 2, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson.

Visiting will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021 in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Ave., Verona from 4 to 6 p.m. Face masks must be worn and social distancing observed. A funeral mass will be offered at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Lakeside Ave., Verona on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Born in Montclair, Mrs. Dahl grew up in Caldwell and moved to Verona in 1961. She graduated from Caldwell High School and worked as a secretary for St. Aloysius School, Our Lady of the Lake School and the Motor Club of America in Verona for many years.

She enjoyed cooking for her family and crossword puzzles. She was also a member of Our Lady of the Lake Parish.

Mrs. Dahl was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Angelina (nee Castiglia) Testa and her sister, Sally LaPorta.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Henry J. Dahl; daughters, Diane Herman (Fred) and Karen Smith (Doug); and cherished grandchildren, Shelley Herman, Keith Herman (Claire ), Dean Herman (Joanna ) and Patrick Smith.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Verona Rescue Squad, 12 Church Street, Verona, NJ 07044 would be greatly appreciated.
