There’s one big advantage to looking for a home in the middle of winter: You can quickly see which towns can handle snow, and which can’t. Verona is definitely in the first group. Our Department of Public Works made streets passable less than 24 hours after last Monday’s winter storm and, other than the giant piles of snow in our yards, we are pretty clear.

So here’s what’s happening in Verona real estate this weekend, from lowest priced to highest in each category:

11 Westview Road: 3 beds, 1 1/2 baths. Deep yard, needs some TLC. $364,500.

35 Mount Prospect Avenue: 4 beds, 2 1/2 baths. Eat-in kitchen, detached 2-car garage. $439,000.

17 Mountainview Road: 4 beds, 2 1/2 baths. Finished basement, 3rd-floor bedroom with bath. $729,000.

32 Otsego Road: 4 beds, 4 baths. New construction, second-floor laundry. $855,000. Open house Saturday 2 to 4 p.m.

256 Fairview Avenue: 5 beds, 5 1/2 baths. Living room with 2-story ceiling, first-floor master suite. $990,000. Open house Sunday, noon to 3 p.m.

2 Claridge Drive #6DW: 2 bed, 2 bath condo in full-service, high-rise building. Corner unit, mountain views. Price cut another $31,000 to $419,000.

15 Morningside Road: 3 beds, 2 1/2 baths. Updated kitchen, vaulted ceiling in main bedroom. Price cut $19,000 to $619,000.
