Mrs. Lillian J. (nee Cavallaro) Molinaro, 97, died peacefully on January 27, 2021 at her home in Verona.

A funeral mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Lake Church (32 Lakeside Ave., Verona) on Tuesday, February 2 at 10:30 am. Facial masks and social distancing are required for the funeral mass.

Born in Glen Ridge, Mrs. Molinaro grew up in Newark and graduated from the Girls’ Vocational School before moving to Verona in 1958.

She was a lifelong caregiver to family and friends and was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Parish as well as the Italian American Club of Verona.

Mrs. Molinaro was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Joseph C. Molinaro; her parents, Carl and Louise (nee Gamfrancisco) Cavallaro; and siblings, Gertrude Gardner, Betty McCann, Marge Pasqua and Carl Cavallaro.

She is survived by her loving children, Charles J. Molinaro and his wife, Linda, and Joseph C. Molinaro; cherished grandchildren, Joseph Molinaro, Jessica Bergin (Adam), Tracey DeNuto (Robert) and Michael Molinaro (Nicole), great-grandchildren, Francesca (Frankie), Eleanor (Ella) and Scarlet Bergin; her sister, Kathy Saccardi (Joseph) and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Verona Rescue Squad, 12 Church Street, Verona, NJ 07944 in her memory would be appreciated.
