VeronaRocks has been busy spreading kindness this holiday season. The youth community service group donated two cases of new illustrated holiday books for children to Alex’s Library at Saint Barnabas. This library allows child patients to choose a book during their stay at the hospital and bring it home with them to keep.
VeronaRocks responded to some of the wishes from children on the wish trees that Junior Woman’s Club of Verona has put up at Blue Hippo, Lakeside Deli, the Verona Diner and American Cleaners.
Through a “flocking” fundraiser, VeronaRocks spread plastic flamingoes and the words “You Rock” to over 20 families in town. This fundraiser helped raise money for two children with medical needs.
Finally, they worked with the Kind Club at H.B. Whitehorne to give their flock a stop the middle school and collaborated with other middle school students to create 200 handmade holiday cards that will be distributed to cancer patients at Saint Barnabas hospital.
