Each holiday season, the Junior Woman’s Club of Verona puts trees around town with a very special purpose: To gather help for local families in need.
As part of the Juniors’ Adopt-A-Family Wish Tree event, there are trees with wish request ornaments at Blue Hippo, Lakeside Deli, the Verona Diner and American Cleaners. Stop by one of these businesses, take an ornament and follow the instructions on it.
If you want to help but can’t get to a tree, the Juniors are suggesting that people consider local grocery store or non-store gift cards, or Amazon gift cards.
