Verona public schools have confirmed three new positive COVID cases, Superintendent Dr. Rui Dionisio said in an email this afternoon, and one of the cases, at H.B. Whitehorne, has been identified as a school transmission.
There is also one new case at Verona High School and one in the school district offices, which are located at the south end of the VHS building. Dionisio’s email said that the Montclair Health Department is working to notify anyone identified as being a close contact of a positive individual to self-quarantine and monitor themselves for symptoms.
VHS and HBW went back to fully remote instruction on Tuesday after rising positive cases of COVID-19 at both schools. They will stay remote through Monday, December 7. All Verona elementary schools will do remote instruction only from November 30 to December 4.
