For a decade, Thanksgiving weekend has been the time for a 5K race in Verona Park–the Turkey Trot–to raise funds to fight the rapid aging disease progeria. Things are different this year, so Team Zoey is inviting runners and walkers to join them in virtual Turkey Trot. You can run anytime, anywhere between now and November 30, and help raise money.

Zoey Penny of Verona was just a toddler when she was diagnosed with the fatal, rapid aging disease. A group of volunteers created Team Zoey to hold the “Turkey Trot” race, golf outings and more to raise money for the Progeria Research Foundation.
