Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ11) will hold a telephone town hall with residents of New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District on Thursday, October 8 at 5 p.m. Sherrill will provide a legislative update, and a panel of health and workforce experts will share resources to help manage the ongoing challenges associated with balancing COVID concerns, work schedules, and remote schooling. Verona is one of the towns in the 11th.
“My team and I remain focused on helping residents of New Jersey’s 11th District, delivering resources to our healthcare and frontline workers, and finding ways to support small businesses and our local economy,” said Sherrill. “We have all been touched in different ways by this pandemic and I wanted to bring together a panel that can provide helpful medical, mental health, and business resources as the pandemic continues to impact our daily lives. In these difficult times, it’s critical we stay connected as a community, and I hope our residents join us on Thursday night.”
Others on the call will include Cali Williams Yost, author of Work+Life: Finding the Fit That’s Right for You; Michele Siekerka, president and CEO, New Jersey Business & Industry Association; Dr. Helen Kest, pediatric infectious disease specialist, St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital; and Robert N. Davison, CEO, Mental Health Association of Essex and Morris, Inc.
