Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ11) will host a virtual information forum for high school students on the military service academies on Sunday, September 27 at 12 p.m.

Sherrill’s staff will be available to discuss the nomination process and the event will have representatives from the U.S. Military, Naval, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marine Academies, and Army, USMC, Navy, and Air Force ROTC. Members of Congress may nominate applicants who meet the eligibility requirements to the military academies.

This year, Christian Dionisio became the first Verona High School student in many years to be accepted into West Point. In 2013, VHS also had a student accepted into the Coast Guard.

You can RSVP here to attend the event. If you have questions, please email [email protected]. There is more information on the military academy nomination process on Sherrill’s website.
