Mrs. Mary Rose (née Shields) Thomas, 94, passed away on August 30, 2020, in the presence of her family at her home in Cedar Grove. Private services were held on Saturday, September 5 in Upper Montclair, followed by interment with her husband at Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover.

Born and raised in Dallas, Pa., Mrs. Thomas lived in Newark and Verona before moving to Cedar Grove.

She was employed as a secretary, spending most of her career at Wallace and Tiernan in Belleville.

Mrs. Thomas was predeceased by her husband, Irving Thomas and by all of her siblings.

She is survived by her son and his wife, James and Adrienne Thomas; her grandchildren, Marisa Harrison (Nicholas), Sean Thomas (Dawnn), and Elisabeth Thomas; and five great grand-daughters, Claire, Paige, and Juliet Harrison, and Liliana and Naia Thomas.

Condolences may be left at Prout Funeral Home.
