Mr. Salvatore R. Massa died on June 21, 2020 in New Brunswick. He was 97 years old. Services & entombment will be private. Condolences may be left at www.ProutFuneralHome.com.

Born in Glen Ridge, Mr. Massa grew up in Verona and lived in Cedar Grove, North Caldwell, Newton and Montclair prior to retiring to Rossmoor in Monroe Township 20 years ago.

He graduated from Verona High School in 1940 and attended Pace University prior to becoming a Certified Public Accountant.

He was in private practice in Montclair, keeping his professional license active until he was 95 years old.

Mr. Massa was a member and past president of the Cedar Grove Lions Club.

He is survived by his children Nancy Massa, Robert Massa (Lynn) and Mary Lou LaMotte; his grandchildren Dakota DeMarco, Adam LaMotte, Curtis LaMotte, Maria Massa (Shannon), Amy Craig (Brendon), Anthony Massa, Lauren Jung (Jeff), Mathew Jung; and his great-grandchildren Audrey Craig, Jonah Frank and Elliot Salvatore (Little Sal) Hou.

He is predeceased by his parents, Domenico & Nancy DePonte Massa and his siblings Frank Massa and Lucy Jennie Vitale.
