Verona High School and H.B. Whitehorne Middle School will be holding virtual graduation ceremonies on Friday, June 19, and the public can watch them online and, in the case of VHS, on TV as well.
HBW’s graduation will begin at 10 a.m. and you can access that webcast here.
The VHS ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m. and you can watch it on Comcast channel 35, Fios channel 24, directly on YouTube or through the window below. The graduation ceremony can be viewed on any device and streamed through your television.
VHS created a virtual graduation by videotaping each student on the upper field receiving a diploma and then delivering a brief message to fellow students. Parents and guardians were also able to record a message to their graduate.
At the end of the VHS graduation ceremony, school officials are inviting the public to step outside for a 10-minute, town-wide clap-out. Once the clap-out is over, the public can return to watch the Family Sentiments section of the graduation video. After the ceremony, the video will be available for downloading through the school district’s website.
