The last Wednesday in May is traditionally the date of the Creative Arts Festival at Verona High School. It still is this year, but because of COVID-19, you will be viewing all the art online. The good news is that, instead the Festival being just a one-night event, it will be available for viewing from Wednesday, May 27 to Tuesday, June 30.
To pull off this year’s show as a virtual event, the VHS art department is using technology from a company called Artsteps. The technology allows VHS to create a realistic virtual room for the festival and display two-dimensional art like paintings, photos and posters, as well as music, one-act plays and STEAM projects.
One final note: This year’s festival will also be the last for Terry Sherman, the VHS art teacher who has been running it every year.
